The firm has experienced exponential growth in my first years here. Much of my time thus far was spent in projects to successfully transform 4 different law firms with 4 sets of applications to one set of applications creating a unified experience across our 4 offices. Now that we have a cohesive desktop experience, my focus is to put tools in place to organize workflow for various processes in the firm. Researching and implementing new software to help boost the productivity of our employees. I have continued to rely on my strengths of curiosity and creativity as well as my experience to resolve the challenges I have faced. Some strengths and skills I have employed are SharePoint and PowerApps for the firm’s intranet. Managing Microsoft applications, Active Directory and Exchange Server management. Other applications I am deeply involved in using are PDQ Inventory and Deploy, Techsmith Camtasia, SnagIt and Audiate, JitBit Help Desk system, Worldox GX4 and Foxit Editor Pro (with Admin Console) as well as a little HTML coding and web design.From time to time I dabble in VB Script, SQL, CSS and much more. I also take as many courses (love LinkedIn Learning!) in as many subjects as possible as time permits!My newest venture is course creation with Articulate Storyline and Rise applications. I am planning and developing courses to import into the Moodle LMS to develop a formal training program for the firm.Curios. Creative. Organized - Work smarter, not harder.

In my role as Information Systems Administrator I continued using my skills in organizing, simplifying and designing relational databases. Additionally, due to my curiosity of how things work I became the firm’s expert on our phone system and document management system. During my time as the Information Systems Administrator I began my deep dive Microsoft SharePoint, SharePoint designer and InfoPath solutions – all in an effort to work smarter, not harder. I developed both simple and very complex systems all to make the end user’s life easier and information more available. I enjoy challenges and solving process problems. I excel in finding ways to work smarter and not harder through automation. I am always looking for challenging projects and am proud of what I produce as a result. Other skills acquired during this time were HTML coding and web design, SCCM, Active Directory management, Group Policy, Ghost/Imaging processes among many others.

I began with Nossaman as a part time Office Clerk assisting staff with overflow work and filing. Soon after, the full time receptionist position opened up and I was given that position. This time was pivotal for me in my soon to be career in Information Technology. In addition to my receptionist duties of greeting visitors and routing phone calls, I continued to do overflow work for the staff, graduating to computer work. This was also the time when the firm graduated from a TeleVideo terminals to desktop PC’s running Windows 3.11. I am naturally curios, so when I had no other work to do at the front desk, I spent time on the computer figuring out how to do everything on it and all the applications we used. I quickly became the go-to person for any computer question even though the IT Manager was located in the office. Two years later, I moved to a position in the firm working with Association Management, an offshoot practice of the Law/Lobby firm. The next two years while working the Association Management team turned out to be my next big growth spurt. It was during this time I discovered three things about myself, my love of organization, my ability to simplify most processes (work smarter not harder) and the database. It is these three things that have stayed with me and been an integral part of my life from this point forward. In fact, I created a database system to manage the various Association Events in Microsoft Access that are still being used to this day! While working as a secretary for the Association Management team, I was also falling into the IT and Office support roles. I transitioned into being both Office Manager and sole IT support staff for the Sacramento Office. I performed duties of both of these positions and became a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. In August of 1996 I transitioned from my dual role of Office Manager and IT Support to Systems Administrator where I remained until May of 2012.
