I have twenty years of experience in higher education administration, college counseling, and career planning specifically working with students to obtain and complete a college education so they are fully prepared to be successful contributors to the marketplace. I have extensive program management and advising experience at both the high school and university level, with an expertise in college admissions counseling, graduate school admissions counseling, college orientation/first-year, leadership, and career development programs. The nexus of my work is to develop open, meaningful relationships with students and adults that are developmental and holistic in nature. I create a vital relationship with students, families, professionals, university, and community members that is honest and supportive in order to develop programs and outcomes that encourage participants to feel personally and professionally fulfilled. I have effective written and verbal communication skills necessary for student/staff development, course instruction, and advising, and my work is recognized by strong organizational skills, impeccable attention-to-detail, creative thinking skills needed for innovative programming, and most importantly, the ability to just "get it" and make things happen.
