NYC Admissions Solutions’ Founder and President, Maurice Frumkin, is a former independent school admissions officer and Deputy Executive Director of High School Enrollment with the New York City Department of Education, where he helped run the citywide public high school admissions process for over 400 schools. Maurice also supervised the citywide administration of the SHSAT, the sole criterion for admission to the elite specialized high schools. While at the DOE, Maurice trained directly with the pioneers of the largest school choice process in the nation – the NYC high school admissions process. Maurice also ran award-winning after-school programs in New Jersey public schools. For nearly 20 years, Maurice has served in a variety of roles in public and private schools, taught middle school students, coached middle school baseball, and volunteered with organizations like Junior Achievement and New York Cares. Maurice has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from New York University’s Leonard N.
