Manage public health education and communications component of the Cardiovascular Health and Diabetes Section, and other communications initiatives implemented by the Section, including the Million Hearts, the National Diabetes Prevention Program, diabetes self-management education and support programs, cholesterol, hypertension, and blood pressure programs.· Develop and implement CVHD Section’s marketing campaigns and communication workplan, developed with guidance from the IDOH, and evaluate these initiatives.· Assists the CVHD Section staff in implementation of e-newsletters and press releases; maintains distribution lists; partners with organizations, including the Cardiovascular Health and Diabetes Coalition of Indiana (CADI) on health information.· Coordinates with other Division of Chronic Disease, Primary Care and Rural Health staff· Develop and conduct webinars, as needed, and presentations for the Section on cardiovascular health and diabetes related topics within the IDOH Office of Public Affairs guidelines.· Assists with the management and development of web pages and postings for the CVHD Section, in coordination with the IDOH Office of Public Affairs and/or printing of internal CVHD Section programmatic materials, forms, abstracts for oral or poster presentations, newsletters, fact sheets, and brochures.· Manages and promotes e-based public health initiatives· Assist with the development of the CVHD Section’s new and renewal grant applications for federal or other external funding, including partnerships and health communications.· Provides diabetes and cardiovascular education and communication technical assistance to the Indiana community health centers, local health departments, schools, and other community organizations on resources and evidence-based practices and programs; and provides resources to these partners as needed.
