As Senior Vice President of PRIME’s Architecture and Engineering Practice, Mr. Mitchell is responsible for operations and development and strategic growth the overall practice, which includes architecture, interior design, roof and envelope consulting, and building engineering services. His expertise in planning and strategic growth is a key asset to PRIME as the firm continues to expand its service offerings and geographic reach. Mr. Mitchell brings 27 years of executive management and design experience. As an architect, he has served as project principal, project manager, and project architect for diverse project types of varying complexity located throughout the U.S. His management experience spans the architecture/engineering, water resources, environmental, transportation, and construction services sectors. Mitchell came to PRIME after serving as practice principal with a large architecture/engineering firm in the MW area. His focus included operations and development of key business strategic growth areas in healthcare, higher education, federal, professional and collegiate sports, and corporate/commercial markets.

As the Growth and Client Strategy Principal, Mr. Mitchell, works closely with the regional Buildings +Places Market Sector leaders and Practice leaders in each of the Midwest offices where Buildings and Places solutions are offered -Chicago, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Cleveland, Columbus, Grand Rapids, Southfield, Indianapolis, and Des Moines.Mr. Mitchell is also a part of AECOM's National Buildings +Places Americas Growth and Client Strategy Leadership Forum coordinating efforts across all nine Buildings +Places Metros/Regions, pre –positioning AECOM as a leading design firm in each of our markets and services, and securing the most important work in our communities. Working with his colleagues in the other Metros/Regions, Mr. Mitchell works together to create a synergistic organization, connecting each of the offices and practices into a fully integrated design and delivery model across the Midwest and the Americas.
