A key part of a team responsible for developing and executing overarching K-12 and higher education initiatives and polices within the state of New York. Spearheaded agency management and collaborated with the press, internal government professionals, regional and state elected officials, and parents to advance the Governor Hochul's education polices and agenda.Oversee project management, budgeting, communications, project roll-out, and continuous management for K-12 and higher education institutions in New York State. This portfolio comprises the second largest state budget expenditure.

Proactively lead the CIS national leadership, state and local affiliates to facilitate successful federal, state and local public affairs campaigns. Manage project budgets up to $2 million to promote organizational message and policy goals. Team with leadership to create and execute key strategy for all of CIS's federal policy initiatives. Engage and persuade policymakers and the public to support policy recommendations for favorable legislation. Simultaneously develop / manage public affairs campaigns in 4-6 states addressing funding and policy changes for education, integrating multiple campaign strategies – direct lobbying, collateral material development, social media, traditional media, legislative and policy advocacy campaigns.

Spearheaded the development and implementation of the ASCD policy department and accompanying legislative agenda. Proficiently handled all aspects of day-to-day activities in support of organizational goals and objectives, including executing public policy program for an Association of 170,000 educators.

Executed strong communication and leadership skills in effectively supporting the National School Boards Association’s (NSBA) Legislative Agenda for public education before the United States Congress, the Executive Branch and related agencies. Created and executed detailed legislative and political campaigns regionally and nationally to advance the NSBA Legislative Agenda.
