Daily management of 33 operations, switch, and trans-ops technicians across multiple markets throughout the Carolina's to include Charlotte, Western Carolina, Upstate and Columbia SC as well as the Carolina coastal areas. Responsible for the full support of Sprint Nextel wireless cell site network, switching facilities and fiber pop locations.• Provide departmental supervision including direct report motivation, coaching, Individual Development plan creation, and accountability to meet or exceed all SLA’s and KPI’s.• Direct responsibility for 5 MTSO, 7 Fiber POPs and over 600 Cell site facilities throughout the Carolina's. Responsibilities include proper operation, maintenance and upgrades to all switching, fiber and cell site equipment and ensuring all facilities comply with company EHS and OSHA safety regulations.• Ensure contract vendors meet all SLA’s and provide quality work while in compliance with all OSHA regulations.• Project manage all modifications and upgrades to the Sprint Wireless Network ensuring all time, quality and cost related goals were met. Manage the planning, coordination and setup of all special events to include disaster recovery and emergency restoration of services after major storm related events and major outages.• Oversee Work Force Management software application ensuring efficiency and profitability of Network Operations team as they perform their daily tasks in support of the Sprint Wireless Network.• Managed the BTS swap out project when converting the Sprint Network from Motorola to Lucent BTS’s during the 4G upgrade of the Sprint network.• Reduced overtime with creative scheduling techniques allowing for 7x24 technical coverage of the network with minimal overtime needed.• Coordinated the restoration of multiple major outages caused by natural disasters throughout our coverage area.• Facilitate After Action Reviews on major outages to implement “lessons learned” to prevent and minimize outage impacts in the future.

• Built out the Nextel network in the Charlotte operational area.• Maintained, upgraded and repaired Motorola iDen EBTS equipment at as many as 70 Nextel Cell Sites.• Performed “On-Call” maintenance after hours providing 24x7x365 coverage for our Nextel Subscribers.• Participated in and supervised many disaster recovery events in the SE region to assist with the restoration of services after hurricanes, ice and major storms.• Train and mentor all newly hired technicians.

• Provided high quality instruction on the AN/SPG-55B Mod 10 Fire Control Radar to include, continuous wave and pulse transmitters & receivers, Digital Signal Processor, Console circuitry and electro-mechanical assemblies such as servos and synchro’s.• Curriculum developer, responsible for creating and validating the official curriculum that supported the AN/SPG 55B Fire control system• Maintenance Supervisor for the two, full size AN/SPG-55B labs on site. I was the only individual on base that performed duties as a full-time instructor and full time maintenance supervisor, responsible for the operational status of the radar labs in addition to my responsibilities and duties as an Instructor.• Workshop facilitator for mandatory training workshops for all base personnel. Subjects included topics such as Sexual Harassment, Base Indoctrination and TQM- Total Quality Management.• Volunteered as an Adult Literacy Tutor for the Laubach Literacy Council in Contra Costa County.• Ranked #7 of 242 E-6 Base Personnel on final yearly evaluation,1992. Classified as advancement eligible to E7 prior to my decision to leave the Navy.
