Joining Dempsey Wood in February 2021 after completing my Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Electronic and Computer Systems, I have transferred the skills and knowledge gained in my degree into the civil industry. With a passion for renewable energy and sustainability, l am focused on delivering infrastructure that builds long-lasting communities. Currently, a Project Engineer on a medium-sized subdivision (200 lots), Working with the Project Manager to provide a quality project to the client’s desired specifications. Whilst on site, my responsibilities include liaising with subcontractors, crew members, and local and regional authorities to ensure that tasks are completed compliantly and to the highest standards. In my final couple of years at University, I had a focus on renewable energy solutions, which are a passion of mine. My final project for university involved developing/designing solar arrays for schools in the Waikato to show how solar/renewable energy sources could benefit the wider community.On a more personal note, I am passionate about the art of making beer, mead, wine, and spirits. With a 23-litre brewhouse, I have been fortunate enough to nab a couple of local awards for a couple of my beers. To bring in my passion for engineering and design I am currently setting up a small 40-60L 3-stage brewhouse, with the goal to increase my knowledge skill and perhaps breakout into the local market in the future.I see myself as a "Goal-driven and personable person", and I put my heart and soul into my work with the motto "strive for better today than yesterday".
