We were building a computer vision based system to detect misaligned blanks in stamping presses. Nth Degree Software was the little LLC I used for contracting work. The plan was to eventually create a startup out of something discovered doing contract work.I was mostly a human Zapier during this time. Writing glue code for various SAAS products to automate business tasks. I learned that almost every SME struggles with SAAS overload. Too many products and not enough integration between them.The most interesting client I had was a dog daycare (Allpaws Retreat). Too many products and not enough integration between them.The most interesting client I had was a dog daycare (Allpaws Retreat). I built a custom dashboard for sorting and tracking groups of dogs with a drag and drop interface and persistent history so the dog would automatically get assigned to the correct group next time. Another thing I built was computer vision system (pytorch) that tagged individual dogs in photos taken while at daycare. Those photos were then sent out to the customers each night so they could see what their dog did that day. The customers loved this but it took 6-7hrs/day to manually sort through the photos.
