As a believer that teamwork is essential to achieving client’s aspirations, he has earned a positive reputation for his contributions to multi-million dollar projects and for his ability to work well with clients, construction professionals, and leading A/E teams. As a forward-thinker known for his dedication, his deepest commitment remains in his ability to contribute at all project stages of K-12, higher education, research laboratory, office spaces, and urban planning projects. Dane has a unique understanding of owner's needs having worked as a commissioning agent at several top Universities. In addition, he has earned several architectural awards, including the second place for the Green Building Council (DVGBC) Design Competition. His community involvement includes TN Achieves Mentorship Program, American Cancer Society, Bike MS and his neighborhood Architectural Review Committee. When Dane joined the firm, the firm had been selected to lead the $352 million euro Champalimaud Clinical Research Laboratory on the Tagus River coast of Lisbon, Portugal with the world renowned architect Charles Correa. The project was a state-of-the art biomedical facility that contained functions normal to a high-end research facility, as well as patient areas surrounding a butterfly sanctuary. Once the project concluded, he transitioned to the beach-front Hotel Masterplan within the Madinat Al Soor project. The project team involved top architects from RMJM’s five offices within three countries. At RMJM Hiller; he was involved with many high profile projects, numerous design packages and proposals, building programming studies, project design and detailing, code studies, and client meetings and presentations. He was part of the winning team to design building prototypes for Motorworld and Khalifa University masterplan; both projects were located in Abu Dhabi. Dane regularly worked with design teams located in Philadelphia, Princeton, New York, and followed the Motorworld project to Dubai in 2009.

As a staff designer, Dane was involved in the Blake Hotel Lobby interior design. The design involved assimilating three adjacent buildings, each constructed with different structural materials and floor levels, into one continuous hotel space. He also participated in the construction documentation of two ‘fast-tracked’ projects and developing value engineering strategies for Kimball Hill Condominiums.
