I am currently a Bioinformatics Software Engineer at Scisco Genetics, Inc., in Seattle, WA. With over nine years of experience, my focus is on analyzing and managing genetic data, mainly using Illumina MiSeq systems. At Scisco Genetics, I've played a key role in creating AWS cloud-based informatics pipelines for important clinical research in human immunogenetics, particularly in Bone Marrow Transplant Chimerism analysis. My work includes software development that supports our researchers in improving our products' utility and accuracy.I also apply my front-end development skills, especially in Angular.js, to improve ScisCloud, our web application. This platform is central to our client services, providing easy access for data analysis and visualization. My involvement in its development and enhancement reflects my dedication to making bioinformatics more accessible and user-friendly.My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Genetics and a Computer Science Certificate from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. I also hold a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from Boston University's College of Engineering. This combination of genetics and computer science informs my approach to bioinformatics, where I aim to contribute to advancements in genetic research and healthcare.
