Duty Maritime Operational Security Manager responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring and managing the execution of a range of maritime, security and emergency operations. Responsible for effectively managing the response to incidents and emergency situations and reporting directly to the on duty senior leader of the Coast Guard. Also responsible for the leadership, performance management, close supervision and direction of six odd subordinates of varying degrees of experience and seniority and effective running of the operational coordination centre for a duty period. Further responsible for the after action incident reporting, information recording and the progression, resolution and handover of the operational activity to the oncoming operational team and/or partner organisation/agency for further follow-up/action.

Responsible as Shore Facility Manager for the effective running of the primary shore facility in support of personnel administration, asset maintenance and maritime, security, law-enforcement and emergency response operations to senior leadership. Directly responsible for twenty odd subordinates of varying degrees of experience and seniority and their performance management, discipline, training, mentorship, general welfare and well-being. Also responsible for the indirect management of sixty odd subordinates as well as the security and routine operation of the facility. Further responsible for ensuring routine maintenance and upkeep of the infrastructure, equipment and assigned vehicular assets occurred as well as identifying and forecasting fiscal needs and requesting equipment, supplies, consumables and other logistics support. Additionally responsible for the daily operation of the Heliport Immigration Detention Centre and the custody, care and well-being of detainees.
