I work as a Certification Assistant, I assemble to certification packs for going off –shore, a lot like I done at Halliburton but on a much more grander scale by dealing with Pipeline Equipment, Process, Coiled Tubing, E-Line & more Wireline equipment. One main aspect that is different is that I have to book inspectors to come in and go around the main units with the Inspectors while their going through the shut downs and also going through some of the equipment going off-shore. So by going around the yard and going around the main items/units with inspectors I have a much greater understand of how all the different equipment gets used off-shore now which I think is a valuable asset. I also have to deal with people in Equipment Logistics in this role so that I know when hires are arriving so I can book appropriate times for Inspectors to come in & also when equipment is going off-shore so I know that all the equipment and the certification pack will be ready to go. I also have to deal with a lot of the guys in the yard so they are a ready for inspectors coming in and informing them about hire certification.I’m currently using a system called Probity to look-up & update certification when I’ve asked the lifting engineer to update lift certification & any other certification that comes through the such as Calibration Certification, New Equipment & Equipment that has been through a Major services. I’m also on call 1 week in every 6 in-case of any equipment having to go off-shore at night or at the weekend.

I worked at Interplex P.M.P, I worked as a medical engineer. I made and assembled different medical equipment. I had strong emphasis on safety health and hygiene due to my working environment. I also had to work 3 different shifts so I can adapt to any working hours. I also done a 12 hour shifts regularly when we were been busy. I also had to use a computer package called EMAX to make work orders and transfers of parts from different locations.I’ve also started 100% inspecting parts that had been made to make sure they were made correctly and without faults.

Montrose

I was responsible for the certification side of the Halliburton Slickline workshop. My duties are to make sure that all the tools coming on-shore go through the right checks they require either an In-House, Annual or Major checks. I then make up job travelers using S.A.P for the pieces of equipment, I also make sure they are certified and keep track of all the certifications when the tools go off-shore, and I also have to deal with customers visiting the Halliburton Facility. I also created & updated ERF’s and also carry out redressing of tool's & P.C.E in the workshop, so I know how basic off-shore tools work and the understanding of working off-shore.I have also done purchasing & rental tracking of off-shore equipment, so I can keep track of spending, locations and pricing. This has also made me comfortable phoning and emailing customers.I have also covered the dispatches department at my work that included organizing transport for employee's going and coming from offshore.
