AquaTerra is on the cusp of the future of food production and farming. As a recirculating aquaculture and aquaponics facility, AquaTerra is helping to bring sustainably farmed seafood and produce to Chicago and Milwaukee. I built AquaTerra's facility in Bristol, Wisconsin. We re-utilized an unused farm building, greenhouses, and agricultural land to build a state of the art aquaculture and aquaponics facility. I was responsible for the redesign and modification of the building and also for the design, manufacture, and installation of all the equipment. The total project cost was $1.5 million. While operations manager I led 4 employees and managed numerous outside sub-contractors. I now serve as a consultant to AquaTerra where I recently completed a greenhouse hot water heater project. This project was planned, specified and installed in less than 1 week. Through a thorough reimagining of how the system would work and by building custom equipment, I designed and built the system for only $3000 on an initial budget of $21,000, saving 85%. The system will also reduce future electricity costs by 50+%. I'm currently working on an Arduino based sensor network for the farm which enables more accurate and timely measurements of crop and fish health parameters while reducing the labor required for monitoring.

I recently returned from Afghanistan where I had the great honor to lead 20 Soldiers providing artillery fires to a special operations task force. My position during the deployment encompassed a range of civilian careers. I was an...Account Manager- It was my job to sell our product (rocket artillery) to the end customer (the task force). To accomplish this I met with the customer to discuss their needs and educate them on our offerings, ensured that we were delivering the best product for the need, and provided 24/7 customer service and support.Operations Manager- My platoon was assigned $14 million worth of equipment during the deployment. My Soldiers and I had to keep it functioning at all times, train with it, and bring it back to the US in one piece. I believe that successful operations managers are always improving; while in Afghanistan I implemented policies and equipment changes which reduced our response times by over 50%. I worked extensively on manpower scheduling to maintain 24/7 operations. I also managed the logistics to keep my Soldiers fed, housed, fueled, and armed.Executive- I had to know the big picture and where my platoon fit into it. I effectively communicated that to my Soldiers to ensure that they were doing their best to support the mission. As a leader I also managed the HR side, helping my Soldiers with promotions, money issues, career problems, and family concerns. While deployed I assisted Soldiers planning for retirement as well as writing resumes and connecting with employers.

In July, 2019 Pythagoras sold its commercial consulting business in order to concentrate on the military technology domain.

I started Weekend Products with my brother to make the BevBarge-the world's only rigid floating bar. The BevBarge is the perfect accessory for an on water party. It has 8 cup holders, tie ups for innertubes, an umbrella, anchor and holds a standard cooler to keep your drinks cool. We designed the BevBarge in house and worked with contract manufacturers, importers, and our own in-house assembly team to complete it. We leveraged bricks and mortar retail, online sales, and promotional activities to sell. We utilized both drop shipping to customers as well as Amazon Fulfillment.As well as the BevBarge, we were the creators of Obamanopoly, the "Property Trading Game for the New Economy." For Obamanopoly we worked with an overseas factory to produce all custom components of the game, and utilized both our own ObamaGame.com website and Amazon for sales. Our catchy radio ads helped us to move over 20,000 copies of the game during 2 Christmas seasons.
