Responsible for facilitating the strategic and operational leadership of one of the most innovative, business-friendly, and responsive Port Authorities in the United States. The Clinton County Port Authority owns and operates the Wilmington Air Park - Ohio's highest volume cargo airport, in terms of pounds shipped. An FAA Part 139 certificated airport, the Wilmington Air Park has two runways (10,701 LF and 9,000 LF), and a fully-functional ILS system that is CAT III certified. The Park includes a 1900-acre commercial airport complex, nearly 3 million square feet of aviation, industrial, logistics, and professional space, and over 300 acres of readily-developable development sites. Located adjacent to Interstate 71 and equidistant from Cincinnati, Columbus, and Dayton, the Wilmington Air Park - and Clinton County as a whole - is geographically, economically and strategically positioned to continue to facilitate growth as a center of aviation, commerce, business innovation, and economic development. Led strategic partnerships and development of plans and initiatives focused on redeveloping and enhancing the downtown community. • Responsibilities included serving as organization liaison to The i-Zone, a regional public-private partnership which created a technology-based business service portal and facilitated the development of technology-enabled businesses.

• Member of the city's senior management team, responsible for the coordination and implementation of business retention and expansion efforts for Ohio’s 12th largest community (population, approx. 60,000). The community experienced, during this time period, levels of business investment, job creation and job retention that exceeded the levels achieved over any similar historical time frame.• Charged with directing and coordinating the design and implementation of efforts focused on redevelopment of industrial and commercial sites and neighborhood business districts, in partnership with the local business community.• Position served as Executive Director of the Community Improvement Corporation, charged with the negotiation, and administration of public sector financing programs and development incentives.• Coordinated a successful effort to secure USEPA and OEPA funding for Brownfield redevelopment projects. Oversaw negotiation of in excess of 50 state and/or local tax incentive agreements, to facilitate business attraction and retention.• This position also afforded me the opportunity to hire, train, and lead a team of professionals in pursuit of these achievements.

• Directed the coordination of business development activity in unincorporated and smaller municipalities throughout the county. Butler County became, during this time period, Ohio’s second-fastest growing county, and reached investment and job generation levels never previously achieved.• Served as the primary liaison to the local and regional business community, and represented the county on regional economic development agency board. Additional responsibilities included the administration and monitoring of public sector tax incentive, development finance, and other development incentive programs. The department executed over 100 incentive and/or development finance agreements during this time period. • This position also afforded me the opportunity to hire, train, and lead a team of professionals in pursuit of these achievements.
