Starting March 2024, I lead engineering for all of Coinbase’s consumer-facing products and applications (the Coinbase app, Coinbase Wallet, etc.).In October 2024, I additionally became "discipline lead" for all of Engineering company-wide. Responsible for Coinbase-wide standards around engineering decisionmaking, hiring and promotion criteria, operational excellence, etc.Previous Coinbase tours of duty included: * Product, engineering, and business owner for all of Coinbase’s developer-facing products. (Base, Coinbase Pay, Coinbase Commerce, Cloud Staking, etc.) * Lead for all blockchain-facing infrastructure for all Coinbase products (core cryptography, asset support, staking infrastructure, wallet infrastructure). * Board member of Unit 410, a Coinbase subsidiary.

Chronicle was an independent Alphabet company focused on enterprise cybersecurity. Google acquired Chronicle in August of 2019.As CTO, I worked across all business functions to shape company and product strategy.Within engineering, I built the global technical team, responsible for both the existing VirusTotal product, and also the Backstory product that we conceived of, designed, built, and shipped under my watch. Backstory launched at RSA in 2019, and generated significant booked business within the first quarter of launching.I created and hired for the SWE, DevOps, Technical Program Manager, and DevOps roles at Chronicle. I also hired or promoted (and trained) several managers and technical leads during Chronicle's journey.
