As a founding partner of Objectivus Financial Consulting I make use of my wide knowledge and experience in the areas of compliance, governance and regulation, to assist our clients to meet the requirements of changing rules or deal with crisis.My career has given me the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of sectors including retail banking, the public service, private law practice and financial services in London. I have qualified as a solicitor in both Canada and the UK and I have a business degree from London Business School where I graduated from the Sloan Fellowship, a program focused on strategy and leadership in global business.I started my legal career as a litigator focused on tax, securities and professional negligence litigation in Canada. I moved to London in 2006 to join Capital Markets team at Allen & Overy and have since held general counsel, head of compliance and MLRO roles within financial services firms including the London Stock Exchange Group.I have first hand experience in a vast number of regulatory issues facing SME financial services firms having worked on matters concerning, among others, AML/CTF, MiFID, SMCR, PSR, EMI, and GDPR.
