Responsibilities included HAZMAT and NFPA compliance and personnel training, OSHA EAP enforcement and training, Plant management, routing/planning/scheduling, budgeting/operating report in comparison to prior year metrics, full life cycle recruiting and training. Additionally, Fleet management with emphasis on DOT state and federal regulatory compliance. Drove operational efficiency and performance in distribution/delivery, customer and technical service through asset utilization, inventory control, and employee performance against KPIs. My team consisted of 25-30 delivery drivers, service/installation technicians, and material handlers within the Ferrellgas and Blue Rhino service units.

Blue Rhino is the leader in grill cylinder exchange throughout the US. As the Regional Operation Manager I was responsible for ensuring all employee related safety/DOT training was completed, asset management/PMs/inspections, and the safe/efficient delivery of product was being carried out across Virginia. A strong emphasis on safety and marketing the brand in relation to customer service - both retail sellers and consumers. Ensured all NFPA codes were being met through site assessments and educating the customers. Coached/trained delivery drivers and customers regarding hazards through daily safety meetings and on-vehicle route supervision/training/ride along.

INGENCO has been a pioneer in the Distributed Generation Market by designing, building, and operating strategically placed power plants throughout the mid-Atantic region and the West Coast. In particular, INGENCO operates the largest landfill gas to energy portfolio on the East Coast. As the manager of the market operations center I was responsible for hiring, training, and managing a full time staff of six to eight power schedulers operating a 24x7 MOC desk in the PJM Mid Atlantic, Western, and VACAR zones.

As the Regional Plant Operations Manager I was responsible for four dual fueled distributed generating plants ranging from 3MW’s to 16MW’s per plant. I ensured all safety guidelines were met by plant operating personnel, as well as outside contractors who entered the facility. Trained personnel in all aspects of plant operation, equipment/plant maintenance-pneumatic and hydraulic systems/valves, pumps, ID Fans, heat transfer rates, SCADA, system monitoring, fuel tank farm operations, petroleum reserves/scheduling, compressor monitoring and maintenance, engineering, design, and operation of plant systems. Calculated fuel reserves/burn rates/deliveries for forecasting peak loads and adequate fuel supply, petro-chemical processes for end use in burn tanks. Developed, implemented, and enforced plant operating procedures and company policies (SOPs).
