I worked in the In-house project management team for Dwr Cymru Welsh Water and used my skills in stakeholder management to help develop the new data processing technique to track compliance to their governance and control framework. I also assessed the Risk and Business Value of a project to develop and enhance the operation of Talybont reservoir. I assessed Early Warning and Compensation Events for NEC Contracts and attended design and programme reviews, progress meetings on site. I enjoyed my placement and am grateful for the knowledge I have gained about the water industry and the role of project managers in the construction industry.

I worked with the reporting team within Project Controls for Hinkley Point C Nuclear New Build. I developed my Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills contributing to the development of new reporting formats within the project and was introduced to Ecosys and PowerBI software. I also compiled and proof read reports for the senior leadership and the board of investors. I received positive feedback for my work from the Director of Licensing during an internal, project-wide board meeting. I greatly enjoyed my placement and am grateful for the opportunity to learn and build upon knowledge I have from my university course, namely in Construction Management and Construction Law.
