I am currently employed as a HR administrator at The Hut Group and I have a number of duties within this job role. My job involves using Microsoft Word and Docu-Sign to create and send all contracts and offers of employment for new starters. I also assist with the new starter inductions where I carry out the right to work checks and ensure new starters have a warm welcome on their first day.My duties also include using our HR system, Cascade, to add on new starters, update any personal details and process all leavers. This requires excellent attention to detail to ensure I have inputted correct information and to ensure that I have calculated the leavers holiday entitlement correctly. In addition to the above, I also answer any general enquiries that come through to the HR shared mailbox and I have good knowledge of Microsoft Excel as part of my role consists of going through administration reports.Since I have worked at The Hut Group, we have transitioned to use a new HR system. I created two in-depth training guides to show employees and line managers on how to use this new system.I have also assisted with the delivery of the HR training modules for line managers which get rolled our every month. In addition to my day to day job, I have my own project. I am currently launching a social programme; a chance for employees to meet up and attend events outside of work to get to know one another. I have experience using Survey Monkey and being able to communicate effectively to contact a number of departments to get this programme launched.

I applied for an administrator role within JLT Employee Benefits. This required me to build up new relationships with staff members as well as completing tasks to a strict daily schedule. This role required excellent communication as regular contact with members of the pension scheme was necessary. Contact with members was performed by phone, email and letter, and it often involved dealing with difficult or upset customers. I was required to have a good understanding of Microsoft office as well as being able to manually complete, multiple staged calculations for both transfers and retirements. As I am a very approachable and friendly person, I was recently given the responsibility to welcome new starters to the team. As a part of this responsibility, I created and implemented a training plan of my own accord for new starters to give them a good understanding of the job role and help them with the technical knowledge required for work as a administrator. This plan has been used successfully as I helped a new member of staff learn the skills required to be a valuable member of the team.

This job role involved meeting tight deadlines every day, talking to members on the telephone and answering any queries they may have. It also involved calculating transfer figures and retirement figures for members. More of my duties consisted of looking through emails and setting up processes to answer the member’s queries. It required clear communication, team work and high levels of customer service in order to provide the highest quality of work we can. Office Services Assistant:The morning routine involved opening the post and deciding what pension scheme it should belong in. I also had to make sure that the certificates didn’t get scanned and that they were going to get returned. My job role involved separating each member within the pension schemes then scanning the post every morning. Once scanned, I would then save it and put the documents into an envelope and file it away. I then moved on to scanning the certificates which had been photocopied and the documents which had been placed in the folders. I also experienced indexing, where I had to match up members records to the correct member. In this role, I have also been trained to use the micro fiche machine in order to retrieve members data.
