About Dani Mclean

People and planet form the backbone of my career. Though at first my professional roles may not seem connected, they are all unified and inspired by a drive to 1) equitably improve life on this planet for human and non-human persons and 2) combat the climate crisis with all the passion and urgency that this cause merits. Since graduating with a dual Bachelor of Arts from the University of Denver (and now with a Masters of the Environment from the University of Colorado at Boulder), I have worked for more than 8 years fulfilling non-profit, private, and public sector roles in transportation, community-led sustainable development, energy, circular economies, food security, and more. I have co-founded a startup; managed and mentored direct reports; taught classrooms of youth; created, implemented, and refined business and digital marketing/communications strategies; and provided detailed project management in various workplace and educational settings. The privilege to work across sectors in such diverse roles has allowed me to excel at wearing many different hats. But more than that, my experiences have molded me into a sharp systems thinker, communicator, analyst, project manager, and strategist – skilled at understanding the big-picture connections and working with a collaborative team to produce holistic, data-driven solutions. For people, and for planet. In my free time, I volunteer to pick up trash in my neighborhood. I'm pursuing a graduate certificate in Geographic Information Systems, and I play clarinet in a local community band. I also love cooking new vegan recipes, reading historic fiction, and pedaling around on my 50-year-old red Raleigh. Workplace personality:– Myers-Briggs: ENFJ-T (the "Protagonist")– StrengthsFinder: Strategic, Input, Activator, Futuristic, Communication– DiSC: iD (Influence-Dominance: outgoing, enthusiastic, optimistic, high-spirited, lively; direct, results-oriented, firm, strong-willed)
