My time at MTU Asia, I worked closely with the technicians, quality control, supervisors and the contractors. At MTU Asia, we are more focused in marine engine. From speed boats up to vessels engines. My job scope is to ensure that all the engine parts is safe to use. We ensure that all parts are able to score a high passing rate when it is inspected by the quality control team. Dealing with chemicals is part of the job-scope. Ensuring right chemicals is being use and ensure that parts are carbon free. Our job-scope is crucial because a dust might cause the engine to breakdown during testing.I have gained experiences in chemical cleaning, sand blasting and painting while dismantling and building is our bread and butter. At some point, our clients came all at one time, with management experiences, we have juggled the job-scope and managed to complete the task.I was given an opportunity to work closely with a rigger and shipping industry background personnel. Therefore, they have guided me in all different angle. The dynamic team ensure that our customer is safe while their engine is running.

Enlisted in the Singapore Armed Forces and was sent to Engineering School. Upon graduating, I was given a task to work on varies vehicle to ensure the military vehicle is in right working condition for training purposes. An opportunity was given when I was called up by the military engineering school to be selected to be a section commander. I have managed three batches and at one point, I singlehandedly supervised and led 200 men until their graduation. While managing the technicians training programme, I had to actively coordinate with the supervising regulars to arrange activities and personally looked after the well-being of the trainees on 24/7 basis. This is to ensure smooth running of their training programme to its completion.Besides being involved in the engineering school, I was given an opportunity to represent team CSSCOM for inter army soccer tournament and which, we emerged as victors. I was called up by SAFSA to join for team training and represent them in Singapore Division 1 league. During my service of 2 years, I have gained, man management, engineering technician and semi pro team training experiences.

An opportunity came by for me to join the local academy. I was given a position as a football coach but this time I was given an opportunity to run for the focused age group which players are ranged as young as two and up to six years of age. In this position, I was part of the key role for kid’s development. Players development includes body coordination, decision making, introducing of ball mastery and fun. Creating a training plan is part of a coach pre-setup before every training. With the focused aged group, every training plan and football approach is slightly different. Focused aged group would need additional guidance of a story-based training. Therefore, we have to include fun story-based training regime in order to capture maximum attention while the players are doing the drills. Some drills are not too focused as it is part of introduction of football to them. Apart from training, I was given an opportunity to work with a Top Singapore Youth development coach, Mr Habil Hakim. Currently the academy Director, he has guided me throughout the process in order to have a different approach with the youth players and especially very young players. As a football academy, there is no different in giving the opportunity to the player. We do participate in both local and international tournaments as well. One major event I was invited to be part of, is hosting FC Bayern tournament. I was given an opportunity to be part of planning, set up, events and tearing down. The whole process has made me gained experience in organising both sports and football event. The event was successful because I had an opportunity to work closely with current sporting director of FC Bayern, Mr Hasan Salihamidžić, Ex Singapore player, Mr Steven Tan and academy director Mr Habil Hakim. Team Singapore made to Semi finals that was played in Alliance Arena, Germany.

An opportunity given to me at the age of seventeen. Started as an assistant coach for a year and later was sent for Advance Euro – Asian Certificate: Level 2. Before stepping up as a coach, I was given an opportunity to work with certified coach and ex international player like Benoit Croissant. Football Passion Academy is an academy which focus in developing and preparing players for football career opportunities in the future. Therefore, participating in local and international tournaments is part of the academy plan in order for the players to gain playing opportunity. As we are known as a football academy, we have participants from age four up to sixteen. Football Passion academy was one of the founders of Alliance Youth Soccer League. In which, I had the opportunity to guide the teams in the tournaments. Later, I was given an opportunity to step up in the job scope which requires to spearhead teams and ensure that they are in the right group in order to have a safe training and achieve maximum results from trainings. Football is a team sports therefore marketing for the academy is part of our job scope. We have to ensure we have players registered for both trainings and leagues. Like professional teams, we have our events lining up throughout the season. Events includes football camps and End of season ceremony where all players gathered to celebrate their playing experiences throughout the year. During my years with the academy, our former players achieved their first professional youth contract. Therefore, making changes in players progress is a goal that I want to achieve and it was unforgettable experience seeing players grow.
