Tutoring mathematics to first-year physics undergraduates. In this role I developed methods for presenting and communicating ideas to the students to aid them in there problem-solving skills and get them to think critically about problems.

As a STEMNET Ambassador and in various participation with my research group, doctoral training centre and main funding body, I have participated in public engagement events such as the Manchester and Cheltenham Science Festivals as well as going into local schools to demonstrate our work.

Cranage Hall

In collaboration with members of the nanoscience Centres of Doctoral Training (CDTs) in Bristol and Cambridge, I was part of an 8-member management committee member responsible for all of the organisation and delivery of the conference, which comprised of over 100 delegates.For this role I had to work within a team, and manage people and delegate tasks. In addition, I co-wrote a successful grant application (for £3000) for additional funding for the conference.
