As a Buyer for a Food Distribution Company based in Slough, I looked after a portfolio of 45 different suppliers covering a range of 500 different products.Duties Included:• Price and Trading Term Negotiations to positively impact key business strategy and achieve KPIs• Contract negotiations, including commercial terms such as overriding discounts, hedging and bulk purchase discounts• Data Analysis including sales figures, margins and price peaks and troughs • Holistic review of key market trends and insight including attending trade events• Ownership of the NPD process for products in my categories• Bespoke adhoc product sourcing• Product and stock management including cash flow management and shelf life management• Managing product technical data sheets (including product specifications, allergen information and other legal requirements)

My current role encompasses both Account Management , Recruitment and HR:My primary focus is on the fulfillment of my clients recruitment needs on a day to day basis in line with the agreed SLA's. From low level software testers, up to high level specialists. I have dealt with the simple all the way up to the impossible, for example, dealing with translators whose native language has only 100,000 people fluent worldwide (of which only about 3 live within the local area) and then finding them and placing them with my client.On top of this it is also my duty to ensure that all temporary staff under my care are getting the service that they need. To do this I ensure that their HR related requests are done on time and to high standards which include the Payroll of all temporary associates (up to 70+ per week), disciplinary and grievance meetings, holiday requests and so on.This role can pose many difficult challenges but without challenge we do not learn, adapt or grow so I look forward to every new challenge that my client sends my way.

This was purely a telesales role focused on lead generation and appointment setting. We had to focus on driving appointments through cold calling achieving around 80+ connected calls per day with the aim to get the field sales team booked in who would then close the deal.

In this role I had a few different areas to focus on, first and most importantly was the Customer Service/Account Management side. The main aspects of this were to service various clients across the food service industry from Caterers to large prestigious hotels such as Celtic Manor, we had to take and process orders fulfilling any requirements that they threw our way no matter how large the order, or how niche the product that they required. We also had to deal with and fix any delivery/product problems that may have arisen and ensured that the client was happy with the outcome, usually with very short lead times to fix it.The secondary aspect of this role was Business Development, focusing on telesales to drive our business forwards through the development of contacts within catering firms and hotel chains that would have sites across the whole of the UK and then contacting the aforementioned sites. Over time we managed to spread our name out there by getting samples or brochures etc out to them and then sealing the deal based the proven quality of our service and products.
