As a warehouse worker, I was instructed to pick orders in various locations in a large electronic hardware warehouse and to bring the completed orders to a different department to be packaged and shipped. To pick orders, a handheld scanner was used to track progress and confirm the proper items and amounts were picked. Finding the locations all throughout the warehouse required constant planning/problem-solving and I enjoyed the challenge. During any offtime, cleaning and tidying were done to maintain an orderly workspace.

As a store associate, I showed up and just did whatever I was assigned by my manager. Typically I'm either assigned to be a cashier or working on the sales floor. While being a cashier, my goals are to properly ring out customers, answer any questions that they may have, and managing time between blowing up balloons and helping customers. When on the sales floor, I'm either to clean up the store entirely or to do a project for the store such as resetting locations of products in a section of the store.
