Designed and developed a high altitude vacuum chamber for the hot-fire testing of thrusters (5N-22N). The main areasof ownership included sizing and design for vacuum solution, instrument feedthrough components and cooling systems.Responsible for performing valve characterization and data acquisition. The project involved obtaining valve openingtime data and correspondent currents for 7 different solenoid valves, across 0-400 psi, and 5-28V. Also processedobtained data for future fine-tuning of thruster controls and operations.Developed a metal-plating process for electrical connector backshells, bringing the production of such components in-house and thus improving inventory availability and providing a cost-saving solution.Designed TVAC fixtures for company flight systems, improving on mechanical retention and thermal conductivity withinthe test chamber.
