Within this role, my main focus is customer interaction, ensuring the business meets their needs in terms of interpreting project specifications, production of proposals within required deadlines, delivery lead-times and technical clarifications.As part of the proposals role, I am always mindful of balancing the customer requirements but maintaining the profitability of the proposal for the business.Key Responsibilities:• Comprehensive liaison with international customers and agents • Interpretation of design/technical specifications to meet both the customers’ requirements and product suite• Production of proposals with values up to £13m• Provide indepth technical support to both the customer and the Projects Department in terms of clarifications and changes in project specificationOther Duties/Experience• Product development support and production of manuals/datasheets• Product studies and detailed reporting to customers• Initial T&C’s clarification• Final customer facing technical and contractual negotiations• Proactive and focused in resolving customer issues before/after they have an impact on the business

Within this Project Engineering role I am responsible for converting a proposal into a deliverable project; during this process I work closely with the customer providing key technical support guaranteeing the final solution is compliment, within the defined budget and delivered within the required timescale.Continued technical support is also provided (as required) to both internal and external operatives during commissioning, installation and after project completion.Responsibilities:• Manage multiple small, medium and large scale projects totaling approx £700,000 to £1.5 million at any given time• Ensure all design and technical aspects are compliant and suitable for the project• Ensure all documentation is produced accurately and delivered on-time i.e. GA, ET, EI drawings, certification, project specific documentation, etc.....• Ensure all required third party products are purchased and delivered within the required time-scales• Ensure the correct documentation is submitted to the operations department to enable the manufacture of all Synectics products. The submission of this documentation must coincide with the production scheduled• Liaise with customers on a regular basis, keeping them updated with the progress of their orders/projects• Provide technical support to customers and colleagues as required• Ensure delivery dates are met and the required delivery terms are processed correctly (EX Works, CIF, FOB etc....)
