I have been in business administration for 10 years. My career began in an apprenticeship role for the marketing team for The Oldham College where I developed my communication skills and confidence to the point where I was hired after my contract expired as a receptionist for the company. Later, I went on to become an invigilator for both the University of Law and The Waterhead Academy where I learned the benefits of working as part of a team and then leading a team as I was promoted to lead invigilator then later to "Assessments Officer" for The University of Law, continuing to hone my skills in communication and team leading I also developed skills in time management, diary management and conflict resolution to successfully deliver assessments to the student body for 2.5 years. My current role is HR assistant for British Cycling, this is a much different role to ones I have had in the past and a very different industry, which has provided me with new challenges and new routes in which to take my personal development. My main responsibilities for the company are involved in recruitment and the on-boarding of new staff - welcoming them into our company. In my personal time, I like to develop myself - mentally and physically. I enjoy running to keep myself fit while listening to self improvement audio-books. When I'm not on the move, I am looking for my next creative project such as honing my digital art skills or working on my writing skills by writing short stories.
