I am a Clinical Operations Manager at Retinal Consultants Medical Group, Inc., a large retina-specific ophthalmology practice in Northern California. I have direct oversight over all clinical operations, including budgeting, recruitment, purchasing, maintenance, and workflow performance. I work in coordination with our executive team on clinical expansion and other strategic drives for the practice.In my current role, I am overseeing the implementation of new and innovative technologies to streamline clinical workflows and provide better overall patient care, as well as improved staffing efficiency and fluidity. I am currently developing a remote team of clinical workers to help alleviate work backlogs and streamline the workflows for our clinics and remove wasteful resource expenditures. I oversee a division of approximately 130 clinical employees, whom I motivate and support with different personality styles. I have earned multiple certifications from LinkedIn on leading and motivating people, being an effective team member, and communication within teams. I have also earned multiple awards while with the practice in regards to my innovative programs developed to keep patients getting necessary care during the pandemic in a telehealth environment. Ophthalmic care in a telehealth environment is no easy puzzle to solve. My goal is to leverage my skills and experience to contribute to the vision and mission of Retinal Consultants, and to bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team.In my free time, I enjoy cooking and spending time with family, playing golf, fishing, and learning new skills. I also enjoy giving back to my community as a longstanding member (and 3 time past President) of our local Lions Club. Giving back to my community that has built me into who I am today is extremely important to me. Helping people who need it is truly one of the passions of my life and has carried over into my love for my career in healthcare.
