Recently appointed Assistant Conductor of the Florida Orchestra (St. Petersburg, Florida); in 2018-19 Daniel will conduct over twenty performances with that orchestra, including Pops, Coffee Concerts, and a matinee performance of Mahler’s First Symphony, while working closely with Music Director Michael Francis, Principal Guest Conductor Stuart Malina, and Principal Pops Conductor Jeff Tyzik. He will conduct Bernstein’s Candide with Michigan Opera Theatre in March of 2019, and will make his debut as guest conductor of the Texarkana Symphony Orchestra in April 2019. Daniel also was one of eight recipients of a Solti Foundation U.S. Career Assistance Award in 2018- his third such honor.In 2017-18, Daniel made his debut as guest conductor with the San Antonio Symphony Orchestra and the Dnipro State Opera and Ballet Company (in Dnipro, Ukraine) in a production of Verdi’s Rigoletto. He also debuted with Michigan Opera Theatre, serving as assistant conductor for productions of Rigoletto and Le Nozze di Figaro. In addition, he served as assistant conductor with the Florentine Opera Company’s production of Die Zauberflöte, with a second consecutive Solti Foundation U.S. opera conducting fellowship; and continued as Director of Instrumental Music at the Wildwood Arts and Music Academy in Little Rock.
