Reset and Refocus is similar to S.A.F.E. but very different as well. It is designed to Reset behavior and Refocus on academics. The main goal is to keep kids from missing their classroom instruction. The children receive the same lesson that they would receive in the classroom as apposed to just sitting and staring at the walls or sleeping. We came up with the idea of keeping kids in school and keeping them learning. Kids are giving time in R&R and must be meeting expectations to earn their way out. Time only counts when you are being productive. A student will only return to class when they have worked their way back. I make parent contacts on a daily basis. Part of PBIS team that meet and come up with idea's to improve our school. Behavior data entry is also one of the duties I manage at our school. This was a challenging but very rewarding job that taught me compassion and patients. These kids came to us when their home school put them out for various reasons. Mainly behavior but we did have some who just did credit recovery. These kids dealt with many different issues. These span from mental, physical, behavioral, abusive, legal, and a host of other's. These span from mental, physical, behavioral, abusive, legal, and a host of other's. I preformed many task and managed multiple duties at MLK. Behavior management was big this was anything to support students and staff to help them be successful. From a talk to having to physically manage the student. I coordinated, set up, and attended field trips for the school. This grew into a big part of what I did toward the end of my days there. These trips became more of a social skill training's for these kids. I helped them get jobs, food, clothes, and provide any basic need I possible could to help the students success. Show less

I was on the summer painting crew for four summer's. We painted the schools while kids where on summer break. I prepped walls, brush painted, and rolled paint.

Worked with Special Education students giving them support in our resource room and helping them mainstream into general education classrooms. We pulled them to work on skills they need to improve on. When we felt they were ready we introduced them back into the classroom and i would accompany them for support until I was no longer needed. I also helped out with behavior in the school wherever I was needed.

Driving armored truck, picking up deposits, and delivering money. I was required to qualify with and carry a firearm. We attended law enforcement training's for the security parts of the job. I was also responsible for my partner's safety/life and millions of dollars. It was a fast paced high stress environment.

Delivering hot food and vending machine food/drinks. I also took and pulled orders in the warehouse. Drove a box truck and a forklift.

Delivering, prepping, repairing, and scotch guarding furniture. I received and shipped furniture via Semi Trucks as well. Helped coordinate and set up deliveries for customers. Service calls were also something I helped out with. We set up model homes and the show room too.
