Quality, & Mechanical/Piping Discipline Lead (Construction and Completions)This role is as client lead engineer for procurement, and mechanical/piping construction. I am responsible for preparation of engineering requisitions, review and approval of technical bid evaluations, review and approval of supplier and contractor ITP’s and quality plans, review and approval of WPS/PQR’s, FAT review and dispatch clearance, review and approval of construction procedures, responding to procurement and mechanical/piping technical queries, lead quality assurance verification of fabrication and construction records, approval of material data records and fabrication data records, nonconformance resolution including client acceptance, mechanical/piping completion inspections, discipline acceptance and clearance approval for system energisation. Some key achievements in this role have been the successful completion of 100+ million AUD globe valve bypass pipeline design remediation project, and successful execution of DN750 and DN900 valve replacements on 3 separate occasions during shutdown conditions.

This role was as a mechanical project engineer supporting the construction and pre-commissioning of the entire APLNG pipelines network. I reported directly to the Lead Pipelines Construction Engineer. Some responsibilities were the review of construction documents (CEP, ITP SEP, HSP, SWMS), management of construction holds, prestart verification for acceptable engineering design and drawing status, management of engineering related construction issues with the design and quality teams, verification of mechanical completion/practical completion, and construction/completions progress reporting. The key achievement of the role being contribution to successful resolution of issues to complete construction, pre-commissioning and completions verification of the entire APLNG pipelines network.
