I would like to work as a CNC machinist/field service technician. I have an excellent mechanical aptitude and am able to assess mechanical equipment and understand how it works, how to repair it, or improve how it operates. I have the ability to perform root cause analysis techniques coupled with good problem solving skills. Over the past 25 years I have worked as CNC machine operator/machinist. I am familiar with both manual lathes and mills as well as CNC mills and Lathes. Over the last thirty years I have done mechanical repairs on jet engines, aircraft and automobiles and general industrial machinist type machines. I have done automotive repairs for myself all my life. This has entailed engine removal/rebuild installation, manual transmission rebuild removal installation, head gasket, ignition, power steering (hydraulic) and electrical. I have replaced cylinders in snowmobiles and small engines. I installed my own outdoor boiler system for wood heat. I learned to safely setup very complicated machining machines both manual and semi automatic. I worked with these machines for twenty years in a manufacturing environment.Being able to ask the right logical questions before reaching for tools and making changes to a complicated machine is of upmost importance, in order to maintain the integrity of product quality and production times. Maintenance and troubleshooting requires thought and attention in order to prevent small mistakes that inevitably lead to bigger problems.
