I am a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Chartered Construction Manager, Fellow of the RICS and CIOB, with over 20 years’ experience delivering Cost Management services. My skills and experience include feasibility advice, cost planning, strategic procurement and contract advice, contract administration, project financial control and reporting, claims management, dispute avoidance, advice on collaborative behaviours, sustainability and social value.I am currently leading leading Commercial Contract and Assurance matters for the AtkinsRealis PPS North region, in addition to leading the procurement team for the delivery of AtkinsRealis Engineering and Design Management scope our the £24bn Sizewell C New Nuclear project.I have a unique combination of extensive research experience, completing my PhD at Lancaster University, combined with a strong background in Education and Mentoring. I have previously lectured in Quantity Surveying and still guest lecture at Universities across the North West. As a passionate advocate for Manchester, I also volunteer as an Independent Member of the Our Manchester Forum, the Steering Group for the ‘Our Manchester Strategy’, delivering Manchester’s vision to be in the top flight of world-class cities by 2025.
