Process (which is required by FSA) analyzes trades and decomposes P/L into several components: Theta, Interest Rates, Credit Spreads, Basis (MTM Price-Theoretical Price), Intraday Trading, Funding and Net Accrued Interest. Advanced reporting allows user to view P/L changes of variable date ranges with different groupings. •Developed technical architecture (using Oracle 8.1.6, SQL Server 2000, VB 6.0 and ASP 3.0) and business specs for Total Return Swap Analysis tool. Created packages, functions and stored procedures which analyze a client’s current reference assets and return a ‘pass’ or ‘fail’ result determining if the newly selected bond, term loan or revolver would fit into their portfolio. Tests occur at industry and borrower level to verify bank is not overexposed. This will automate all trade decision making for Total Return Swaps, First Loss Swaps and Second Loss Swaps. Prototype built in Visual Basic 6.0, SQL Server 2000, ASP 3.0 and Crystal Reports 9.0. Managed team of 3 developers and 1 business analyst.•Developed web-based IPV (Independent Price Verification) application for Credit Derivatives Middle Office. Automated processes which had previously required 4 business days per month to complete. Shortened process to 15 minutes by using SQL Server functions and stored procedures. Also created an add-in which performed performance analysis and comparison of different tranches.•Conceptualized a Fixed Income global reporting tool which consolidated multiple reporting applications into one reporting application. Application allows users to generate customized reports from various data sources (SQL Server, Oracle, Access). Managed team of 3 developers and 1 business analyst. Technologies used include Classic ASP, Visual Basic 6.0 (ADO), SQL Server 2000 and Crystal Reports 8.0. Tool allowed advanced performance analysis at several levels through drill-down capability.•Created a ‘Portfolio Tracker’ application for Equities Trading. Database stores traders’ holdings and connects dynamically to Bloomberg.
