In my current role, I am primarily working on two projects in the field of sustainable development and climate action.1. Eco-schools as New European Bauhaus Labs (NEBLAB) [project website: eco2-schools.eu]2. SDG4U [project website: TBC]

Projects:Cork City Climate Action Plan:- Co-created a methodology to construct a Climate Action Plan for Cork City that satisfies both our statutory obligations and the EU Mission to achieve 100 Climate Neutral and Smart Cities.- Researched and synthesised data and literature to inform the evidence-base of the plan.- worked with consultants to manage the delivery of a Baseline Emissions Inventory (BEI), Climate Change Risk Assessment (CCRA) and a Residential survey of attitudes to climate action- collaborated with City Council colleagues to organise Cork Climate Conversations, a series of targeted workshops with City stakeholders to derive tangible actions for the Cork City Climate Action Plan.- wrote the draft plan, working off the evidence base, baseline studies from consultants and outcomes of Cork Climate ConversationsREACHOUT Project (https://reachout-cities.eu/):- led organisation and development of Cork City Hub workshops- worked with colleagues across the REACHOUT consortium to tailor tools to Cork City's bespoke needs- co-created the Climate Story project deliverableClimate Action Team (CAT):- provided secretarial support and technical input, regarding climate change, to the cross-directorate Climate Action Team chaired by the City Council's Chief Executive.

Worked on two projects during my time at Icon:(i) Control with Remote Sensing Northern Ireland (DAERA)(ii) LPIS Rebuild (DAFM)Gained skills in Earth Observation and object identification using satellite imagery.Other responsibilities included administrative tasks, summary writing and assisting other projects during busy periods.Gained more experience using GIS applications such as QGIS, MapInfo and MapXtreme.

Three summers (2017, 2018 and 2019) spent working at Talisman Programs in North Carolina as a camp counselor for groups of children, teens and young adults with autism and/or ADHD.Responsibilities included duty of care for campers and leading some activities. As part of my role I provided campers with their daily medications that did not need to be refrigerated or administered by the camp nurse. Activities led include swimming, canoeing, tubing, field games and basketball.
