Since childhood, I have been exposed to everything mechanical. One grandfather was a diesel mechanic/shop foreman for Suburban Propane while the other was an aeronautical engineer for multiple aviation companies including Northrup-Grumman and the Lockheed Skunk Works. Their fascination for mechanical systems was only amplified through my parents' efforts to expose me to iron-clad industries such as railroading, classic car restoration, and of course, aviation. I was even fortunate enough to pick up the skills necessary to build and restore classic vehicles with my own hands. I am very fortunate to have been given such experience. It has benefitted me immensely in an industry where the only thing separating an idea from reality is some thought, a few drawings, and a pair of capable hands.
