Managed and supported the IT Department for the local and wide area networks for 150+ employees with 15 servers. The network is designed around a Windows 2016 server domain running on VMware, along side an EMC SAN. Remote access to the office is available through VMware View Horizon (VDI,Virtual Desktops), supported and maintained approximately 60 remote users, that include 4 remote locations. I also maintain and supervised the phone, and voicemail system for the main office, and remote locations utilizing, Cisco’s VOIP phone system. Other products that we utilize are Ironport for secure email, Exchange 2016 for Email, Email Xtender by EMC for email archiving. Provide and implement disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures. Communicated job expectations: planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

Started at Sentinel with 2 technicians and grew it to a maximum of 41, in a period of 3 years. Began at Sentinel as a technician, was promoted to supervisor of 40 employees, and later promoted to sales support. Most of the work was done as a state contractor. Working mostly at IDPA and later DHS, the networks consisted of a variety of operating systems. The network was made up of 400+ servers and 16,000 workstations. The work consisted of server and workstation deployment along with operating system, and application upgrades.

Support a 50+ node network running Novell, Microsoft, and IBM mainframe connections. Network was connected by both Token Ring and Ethernet with wide area network connections to 13 hospitals. The hospitals where connect via wide area network to the IBM mainframe through gateways located centrally at HSHS. Groupwise 4 running on a Novell 4.11 server was the primary e-mail application at HSHS and the hospitals.

Computer and network installation. Installation and maintenance of workstations running: Windows 3.x and Windows 95. Work closely with vendors to implement application solutions for medical and administration departments.
