Leading a team of 10 engineers, I oversee the provision and maintenance of IT platforms within the organisation.

Leading a global team of 3 Database Administrators covering the following core RDBMS- Oracle- MS SQL- MySQL- PostgresThe company recently consolidated the management of databases across the business and gave me the opportunity to lead the effort.

Left HP in April 2011, have worked in the challenging and diverse environment within Sophos ever since. Starting out as a solo DBA with little or no handover I quickly grew the role and the team to include a second DBA under my management.To say that I have learnt a lot since leaving a large team would be an understatement.Since August 2013 I have moved more into supporting a large Business Intelligence solution within Sophos. I have gained deep experience in administration of Reporting Services, Analysis Services, Master Data Services and administration of large databases and the tools/techniques of managing them.

Currently work for HP as a Database Analyst within the Production DBA team. I am deputy team leader and work with SQL Server 2005.During my time with HP (which was formerly EDS) I have worked in different teams and performed different functions.
