Apac Communications Lead
CurrentReporting directly to US-based Global Head of Communications, I am the APAC Communications Lead for Zebra Technologies Asia Pacific. And I oversee external communications for 11 markets including China, India, Japan, South Korea, Australia & New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, and Indonesia. For the past 5 years (from 2019 to 2023) at Zebra, I have maintained a high above 80% Share of Voice against our competition. ACHIEVEMENTS2023- Selected and completed the Zebra Leadership Accelerator program, which is designed to groom future leaders within the organization. 2022- Expanded role to include content creation, internal communications, crisis communications and other cross-functional purposes.2021• Planned, organised, and executed a full-scale launch (50 pax event in compliance with social distancing measures) of Zebra’s APAC Headquarters in Singapore featuring the Minister of State, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Trade and Industry as the Guest-of-Honour. The planning of the event comprised the launch ceremony, guest hospitality including partners and media, tour of the office’s advanced facilities, and press conference. 2020• Responded swiftly to the changes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and introduced innovative virtual media briefings across APAC in place of traditional face-to-face briefings to keep up with media engagement. 2019• Planned and hosted a regional media press conference in Guilin, China to mark the 50th anniversary of Zebra Technologies, featuring the Chief Technology Officer and the Vice President and General Manager of Zebra Asia Pacific as the spokespersons. • Organised and planned for the media event to announce the expansion plans of Zebra Penang that was attended by the Deputy Chief Minister of Penang as our Guest-of-Honour.
