With 19 years of communications experience, I am well-versed in the areas of corporate communications, media relations, strategic communications, integrated marcom, media training, as well event management thanks to my stint in both in-house corporate communications roles as well as at PR agencies. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Communications, I am the APAC Communications Lead for Zebra Technologies Asia Pacific. I oversee 10 markets including China, India, Japan, South Korea, Australia & New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, and Indonesia. At Sentosa Development Corporation, which is a Singapore government statutory board, I am exposed to different aspects of communications from playing an active role in high stature events like the DPRK-USA Singapore summit (aka “Trump-Kim” summit) to the management of crisis communications and government relations. At BMW Group Asia, I was the Corporate Affairs Manager who looked after the East Asia region (14 markets) and was responsible for both external and internal communications of five brands (BMW, BMW M, BMW i, BMW Motorrad and MINI), as well as regional corporate functions like BMW Treasury and BMW Financial Services. As an Independent Communications Consultant, I worked on various PR projects including the planning of drive events for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Asia Pacific and the management of the inaugural internal communications workshop for Hilton Worldwide Asia Pacific for their senior executives and general managers.At Upstream Asia, I managed several accounts including VP Bank, SWIFT, Disney Channel, Siemens PLC and SAP. At LEWIS Global Public Relations, I supported various accounts including enterprise technology clients like Brocade Communications Systems, Citrix and WatchGuard. I was part of the team that was the lead agency that coordinated and supported PR efforts for WatchGuard across Asia Pacific. Other efforts included the pitching of interviews for C-level executives, drafting and pitching of by-lined articles and case studies, amongst others. Apart from my communications experience, I hold a MBA-degree from the University of Derby (UK), which has enabled me with the skills and knowledge in delivering results to better support the business objectives from an all-rounded perspective. I have an extremely positive attitude towards life and am a team player who works well with fellow colleagues. I am proficient in three languages: English, Mandarin and Cantonese (both written and spoken).
