• Assess and review credit and funding limits for RBS Invoice Finance ID and Factoring clients using financial accounts, credit ratings agencies as well as internal grading systems and information sources to come to decisions.• Work within departmental SLE’s when making these decisions to maintain excellent customer service levels.• Work with Relationship Managers to help build a One Bank approach, particularly on more complex decisions, where alternative strategies and solutions are required.• Build relationships with our Credit Protection clients to help maintain strong customer service and ascertain the particular needs of these clients.

• Six month secondment as a complaints handler in our Complaints Department• Resolving Complaints for RBSIF Invoice Discounting and Factoring clients.• Liaising with various departments to gather information, these ranged from back office areas such as credit control, to front line departments such as client relationship teams• Dealing with our clients directly to gain an understanding of the issues surrounding each complaint.• Communicating effectively with both internal departments and our clients to deliver a clear outcome of each complaint• Compiling reports to go to senior management to update on the performance of the Complaints Team

• Four month secondment in the RBSIF Audit and Survey Department• Completing Audits to required standard on our Invoice Discounting and occasionally our Factoring clients• Writing detailed reports to be used as feedback to Relationship Managers and the Audit management team.• Assessing the risk of clients and checking they understand how the facility should be run and identify any potential problem areas to be reported back to the RM.• Excellent learning opportunity that gave me a feel of how our clients run there facilities and the impact that certain roles in RBSIF have on these businesses.

• Completing monthly reconciliation returns on Invoice Discounting clients• Updating reserve figures on AS400 to minimalise risk regarding overdue and highly concentrated debtors• Liaising with RM’s and Risk Management teams to find solutions where client availability is at a premium
