The NCOIC responsibilities include the leadership, training and direction of ten subordinate analysts and the supervision of intelligence research, production, quality control, and dissemination of the unified intelligence picture.As Kandahar Team NCOIC, I am responsible for synchronizing the intelligence picture within Kandahar Province, Afghanistan, to include information on enemy forces, political and cultural influencers, and Afghan National Security Forces’ capabilities and leadership. I supervise the identification of intelligence gaps and development of HUMINT, SIGINT, IMINT, and ISR collection requirements to meet the Priority Information Requirements of the Commanding General RC(S). Production requirements for the Kandahar Team include Operations and Intelligence Briefings to the RC(S) command staff, a weekly Intelligence Summary, and the production of a weekly decision brief directing ISR allocation and decisive combat operations in RC(S). I trained Kandahar Team analysts in the use of available systems and databases, to include Palantir, M3, ArcGIS, MiRC, TAC, Google Earth, QueryTree, CIDNE, Analyst Notebook, and COIC UDOP.
