I was in law enforcement since I was a senior in high school working in the Records division. Once I graduated and turned 18, I was hired in the Communications Division (911/dispatcher). In February 2004 I was hired as a full time police officer. I was in the patrol division originally for 6 years. I completed over 5 years as a criminal investigative detective. During my time as a law enforcement officer I was responsible for planning operations, ensuring the safety of other officers and citizens and was assigned multiple times as the acting supervisor.Since 2010 I have been heavily involved in not for profits within Marion County, Florida. Through that a friend and I created a program to assist local cancer patients with everyday expenses through a local charity called HUGS Charities of Ocala. The key part of this program is that no one receives pay for the work with the nonprofit.Through my work with HUGS Charities of Ocala, I have found a niche assisting those battling cancer. I have a large desire to assist persons in the medical field.
