Responsible for developing a new range of financial products for our bullion business based on precious metals (gold, silver, platinum, palladium).Also responsible for commercial support on New Ventures as we look to diversify The Royal Mint. Key focus at the moment is Royal Mint Gold (RMG).

Responsible for financial information and controls from 8 individual manufacturing units across UK, USA and Singapore.Production of monthly board financial pack including consolidated financial accounts and analysis, forecasts, capacity planning and operational metrics.Cash flow management including working capital and treasury efficiency, management of foreign exchange exposures and forecasting.Due diligence for a number of potential and completed acquisitions. Included presentation of business cases to the board for approval as well as related contract negotiation, legal and regulatory work, acquisition accounting and post-acquisition integration.Established and managed internal audit function, reporting directly to the audit committee.Group public accounts (IFRS) and individual entity accounts (UK GAAP), including management of external audit relationship, securing year-on-year fee reductions.UK tax computations and returns including R&D claims totalling £1.5m in cash received from HMRC.Supported board through provision of analysis and modelling for group bank refinancings, share placings and investment/divestment decisions.

Joined on graduate scheme and progressed rapidly to qualified audit senior and then manager. Managed external audits of a broad variety of clients in service, retail, distribution and manufacturing sectors across the South West and Wales region. Included small start-ups to large multinationals.Established best practice team in Bristol office setting up resources and training subsequently expanded to allow all offices access.Part of team presenting to UK board on staff retention issues.Secondment to internal learning and development (12 months) developing and delivering training courses across the UK for new graduates and experienced staff.Secondment to mergers and acquisitions team (6 months) including advising on a number of potential and completed acquisitions and investments.
