Leads team of federal employees and contractors to provide data from the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) to CBP users, U.S. Government agencies, and members of the trade community.Collaborates closely with a wide variety of customers to create new data visualizations, gather requirements for data products, and incorporate feedback to improve current data universes and reports.Led the effort to secure funding, procure, and plan the implementation of an in-memory database system that enhances the ability of the ACE Reports application to handle large data volumes. This provides customers with reports that run much faster and contain larger amounts of data for analysis than was originally the case.

Initiated and negotiated a formal data-sharing agreement between CBP and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to enhance CPSC's ability to prevent harmful products from being imported into the United States. Assisted other U.S. Government agencies with use of the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE), identified agencies’ requirements for their specific needs, and provided recommendations for system improvements. Delivered multiple presentations over a two-day period, under the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Commercial Law Development Program, to the Kosovo Customs Service in Pristina, Kosovo on building an interagency single window system. Created, drafted, and disseminated a policy nationwide that governs the import ban of kinder eggs, which pose a choking hazard to small children, in accordance with Food and Drug Administration and Consumer Product Safety Commission laws. Transitioned the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s paper-based import process for live dogs and primates to an electronic-based process to ensure that the CDC’s public health import laws are properly enforced. Implemented revisions to the Cuban Assets Control Regulations (CACR) and developed policies that enabled trade with independent Cuban entrepreneurs, in concert with the Department of State, the Department of the Treasury, and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR).Collaborated regularly with multiple federal agencies to solve interagency problems by developing U.S. Government-wide policy on international trade operations to better enable other U.S. Government agencies to fulfill their public health and safety missions. Engaged with interagency partners to implement requirements to enforce sanctions, and engaged with the appropriate internal offices to ensure agency-wide compliance.

Created a policy, in collaboration with the CBP Office of International Trade, to allow companies that have successfully undergone a rigorous CBP trade compliance audit to transition directly into CBP’s trade compliance trusted trader program, titled the Importer Self-Assessment (ISA) program, which relieves these companies of the investment usually required to gain membership into the programEstablished a working group with CBP, members of the trade community such as General Motors, Abbott Laboratories, and Boeing, as well as the FDA, EPA, TSA, and CPSC to develop a holistic trusted trader program, involving an integration of CBP’s Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) and ISA, and inclusive of intellectual property rights requirements, import safety controls, and enhanced benefits to the trade community. Initiated and led an effort to enhance and streamline CBP’s review process for Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) cases to provide more effective analysis to as to whether specific business transactions would result in consequences to U.S. critical infrastructure and national securityCollaborated with CBP’s Joint Operations Directorate (JOD) and CBP’s Senior Medical Advisor to develop CBP’s Medical Counter-Measures (MCM) Directive that governs the deployment, storage, and maintenance of antibiotics and antivirals for use in the event of a public health emergency that would threaten to disrupt CBP operations
