Highly adaptive scientific and engineering subject matter expert with extensive research and program management experience in both industrial and government settings. Managed, evaluated and strategically shaped the focus of two, high profile, multimillion dollar basic research programs supported by the U. S. Army at the Institute for Collaborative Biotechnologies and the Institute for Soldier Nanotechnologies, and transferred promising basic science results from these institutes to the Army to advance necessary future capabilities. Drove the development of novel nanoscale sensing, optoelectronic and energy conversion technologies based upon newly developed or improved nanomaterials, electroactive molecules and polymers.
