About Daniel Connell

I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Information Technology (Specialization in Information Assurance and Security), in November 2017. Ideally, I want to find a position where I can continue to learn and gain experience while using what I have already learned.I recently completed an internship with CareerBuilder. During this internship, I primarily worked with the cloud-based IDS Alert Logic. I spearheaded the effort to integrate the IDS with JIRA service desk. This was a valuable experience during which I learned a lot. During this internship and a previous one, I was afforded the opportunity of working with 3rd party penetration testers. It was fascinating, I find the idea of a proactive defense extremely appealing. After working in law enforcement for five years I know from first-hand experience that it is better to be pro-active than to sit back and wait for something to happen. With that thought in mind, I am actively seeking new opportunities. I am taking additional online classes at Udemy.com and itprotv.com to further prepare myself for getting certifications.
