• Overseeing day to day operations of multiple departmental vehicle repairs. • Establish a yearly departmental fleet budget.• Develop programs and strategies for decreasing vehicle cost and schedule maintenance and repairs on vehicles.• Maintain departmental compliance with Town policies and procedures to ensure safety, departmental adherence to applicable laws and regulations.• Work closely with other key departments to support the Town’s mission. • Maintain detailed record keeping, purchasing, training, hiring and management of employees.• Handle fleet services on emergency and non-emergency equipment. • Negotiate with suppliers, resolve disputes and analyze the effectiveness of operations.• Implement and enforce transportation scheduling and policy changes.• Provide solutions and making responsive decisions to equipment specing, safety, and selling of assets. • Oversee Emergency power systems repairs and upgrades.• Manage and maintain fuel facility in compliance with DHEC operational and safety procedures.

Equipment Repairs/Upgrades• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting.• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.• Ability to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.• Mechanical experience and diagnostic on gasoline and diesel equipment, heavy construction and specialty equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) includes Fire Appasatus Aerial Work Platforms, Pumps and operating systems.
