As a Transportation Planner, I am responsible for coordinating projects and contributing my technical skills and expertise. Having taught secondary mathematics, I am also skilled in knowledge sharing and enhancing the skill base of the team.I am an experienced transport modeller, having project managed the delivery of the transport planning and forecast outputs required for the strategic, economic, financial and commercial evidence for a selection of major scheme business cases. These have included schemes to support proposed development, such as for the Plymouth Joint Local Plan; and strategic congestion relief schemes, such as the A31 Ringwood Road Widening Scheme. I have experience in assessing and designing traffic management during construction and temporary road layouts, such as during the Olympic Games. I have acted as Employer’s Agent for the Welsh Government, responsible for reviewing and providing recommendations on the products from other consultancies.Having presented internally and externally on the modelling of car park strategies, I am a leader in bespoke modelling techniques and analysis of parking data. I maintain and develop the WSP|PB Parking Allocation Model, and have implemented the tool for various clients. One of my largest models covered Ohio State University, where my analysis and modelling was used to support our client in successfully securing a concession agreement at a cost of $500 million.Many of my projects have required analysis and combination of large data sets which are unreadable by MS Excel and Access. These include TrafficMaster GPS, London Congestion Analysis Programme ANPR, and London SCOOT historic signal data. I have produced tools for working with these data sets, and enabled others to achieve the same.

At Parsons Brinckerhoff I was responsible for managing technical aspects of projects whilst delivering innovative solutions. My key role was as a Transport Modeller, although I was involved in all aspects of Transport Planning. This would include proposing/discussing potential solutions will colleagues and the end client, whilst reporting both technically and for public submission.Well known or my skills in analysis and creation of innovative modelling solutions, I would often be the first contact for the feasibility of specialist projects. As a keen knowledge sharer, I ran sessions on the projects undertaken as well as Visual Basic for Applications, and Microsoft Access Databases.
