About Daniel Cotton
I am a founding director at LSD Architects, a small design led Architecture studio based in London. Prior to that I worked as an architect for leading UK practices Wilkinson Eyre and Bennetts Associates.My interests include heritage and existing buildings, and in particular how memory can be used to build narratives and increase public interest in architectural projects. My academic work focussed on cinematic space, and how the process of making films can be used to generate architectural propositions.In 2016 I received my RIBA Part III Professional Qualification from Westminster University and registered as an architect in the UK. In 2014 I was awarded a Distinction for my Masters in Architecture at the The Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London. In 2011 I received a first class honours MA in Architectural Design from the University of Edinburgh.

Founded in 1987, Bennetts Associates Architects is an internationally renowned architecture practice with offices in London and Edinburgh. Worked on a £28.5 million 12,800 sq m part-refurb part new-build project for the London Borough of Bexley. On board through RIBA Stages C through F, roles included concept design, detail design, detail drawing, visualisation and animation, tender specification writing, coordination of the design team and acting as the sole representative at client, contractor and sub-contractor meetings. Also part a team that placed first in an invited competition for a luxury hotel.
